ANIMAL FARM SERIES

This is a series of new photos that deal with questions about animal rights and exploitation of animals, and failure of nature too.

The photos are ostensiblye cute with their beautiful, colourful plants and flowers. But at the same time there is something wrong in them – all the animals are in the wrong places.

I have taken all the photos in zoos, animal farms, animal markets and in botanical gardens in Finland and other countries around Europe as well as in Gambia, United Kingdom and Florida, USA.

None of these animals lived in their natural, special surroundings. All of them exist just for human amusement or nutrition.
